The average college student will leave college with more than $2,800 in credit card debt and up to one fifth will be of $10,000 or more. College students are targeted by credit card companies because college students enjoy the idea of purchasing objects without obtaining the money for it at the time. Many college students also report using retail therapy as a way of coping with stress from school.
We eventually designed an app that could connect to your bank accounts and when you spend money the app will ask you to rate the purchases based on satisfaction, mood while purchasing, wants and needs. By doing this the app will get to know you and analyze your spending habits. The app will then give tips, a detailed analysis of how you can cut down on spending, while simultaneously making you think more about how your mood could be effecting your purchases.
